How to Construct FOIA Requests

In this video, I walk through the basics of constructing an open records request using examples from a DHS Significant FOIA Activity dataset. The intended audience for this tutorial is new requestors who may be bought into the idea that open records work forms a foundational role in an open society, but who might not have a ton of experience filing requests of their own. This is one in a series of videos I’ll post in an effort to help make technical advisory and consultation easier and more efficient for those interested.
